Hendy Motor Group, Eastleigh Dealership
Collina was the M&E consultant working on behalf of Hendy Motor Group to design the M&E services for their new multi-million-pound car dealership in Eastleigh. The building was designed with sustainability and efficiency at the forefront of the facility.
The building is connected to the local district heating network as well as having a large photovoltaic array installed on the roof and energy efficient systems throughout, including LED lighting and local electric hot water. Collina worked closely with the design team and client to provide thermal modelling to determine the most thermally efficient building envelope to reduce thermal losses. The building achieved BREEAM Excellent and an EPC rating of A, ensuring that the client has a building that is energy efficient with low running costs.

Pentalver Power Resilience Surveys & Reports
Collina was appointed by Freightliner / Pentalver to conduct an Electrical Survey of 11 sites across the UK to understand the current electrical infrastructure and determine the level of power resilience for each site, to maintain business continuity in the event of a power failure.
As part of the survey and report Collina was able to determine the approximate electrical load across the sites for all essential equipment including IT, offices and any other supplies that are crucial to maintain operation and continuity of each site.
Collina undertook a visual survey of each site, produced LV schematics and a high-level summary report for each location, detailing current resilience, proposed upgrades and liaised with suppliers and manufacturers regarding upgrade works to provide budget costs to the client.
Newhouse Farm Industrial Estate,
Chepstow Industrial Unit Refurbishment
Collina MEP was appointed by Bbi to work as the mechanical and electrical clerk of works for the £10million refurbishment of a 230,000 sq ft distribution warehouse near Chepstow.
The distribution warehouse was stripped back to its primary structure with all new mechanical and electrical services installed throughout. The buildings services were designed with energy efficiency in mind including LED lighting, air source heat pumps, electric car chargers and a large photovoltaic array on the roof.
Collina MEP’s role included the production of construction issue drawings along with providing a regular site presence to answer install queries and trouble shoot any design issues that were discovered.
The project was handed over on time and allowed the building owner to source a tenant prior to completion of the buildings fit out.

Richmond Motor Group, Saltbox Dealership
Collina MEP was appointed by Richmond Motor Group to carry out the performance design and client monitoring role for the new multi car dealership located on Saltbox Road in Bognor Regis.
The dealership consisted of multiple brand car showrooms along with a large workshop area for servicing and repairs.
The facility has been designed with both energy consumption and carbon reduction in mind. This included all electric systems with no gas or oil being used on site as a heat source. The facilities heating and cooling is provided by a mixture of air source heat pumps and direct electric radiant panels. All new LED lighting was installed throughout with a large photovoltaic array and battery storage installed on the roof to offset the electricity consumption.
